As part of committees:
- Developed and introduced a new undergraduate specialization "Information Systems Audit and Control" in 1997. The specialization, perhaps the first of its kind in the country, blends information systems and accounting topics in a unique way to satisfy the requirements for the IS Auditing profession. (BGSU)
- Developed and introduced the Accounting Information Systems track in the Master of Accountancy program. (BSGU)
- Introduced new courses in Client/Server Application Development, and IS Auditing and Control at the undergraduate and graduate levels. (BGSU)

Big data keeps getting bigger — and companies need more people who can make sense of it.The Naveen Jindal School of Management is introducing a master’s of science in business analytics degree this fall to meet a growing need for employees who can analyze data in a range of industries.
The new 36-credit hour program can prepare students for careers in analyzing the increasing volumes of data that businesses collect through website traffic, social media and electronic health care records. Data analysts use the information to help companies improve efficiency, make better decisions about future sales and identify their most likely customers.

An attempt to set a trans-Atlantic jetliner aflame above Detroit on Christmas Day has revived a simmering airline security debate.Researchers at UT Dallas say new ways of using passenger profiling with screening devices could strengthen security and minimize passenger concerns about convenience and privacy in the wake of that incident.
Dr. Huseyin Cavusoglu and Dr. Srinivasan Raghunathan, information systems professors at the School of Management, reached that conclusion after taking a recent look at the value of passenger profiling.
