Research Areas

Total Synthesis of Bioactive Natural Products and Method Development
We identify significant problems in chemistry that impact society and human health and develop practical and creative solutions. Complex biologically active natural products are the inspiration and driving force for our research. We devise novel and out-of-the-box synthesis logics that allow rapid access to complex natural products with potential application in treating human diseases. The natural products we target are state-of-the-art challenges for complex molecule synthesis that stimulate the invention of new chemical methods and serve as a proving ground for our novel synthesis logics and existing transformations in complex settings.
