  • One of the youngest department chairs elected in the School of Business
  • Tenured and promoted three assistant professors to associate level
  • Hired 4 tenure-track / visiting professors
  • Initiated the process of MIS major (final approval in 1996-97)
  • Promoted flexible course scheduling (2-week, 4-week, and 8-week; very popular now; this helped in department’s tremendous growth despite general decline in Business student enrollment)
  • Involved in AACSB re-accreditation process (re-accreditation was successful )
  • Department’s endowment fund increased from $2,000 to $20,000
